Child Development Centre

See for yourself the incredible impact our local church partners are making in their communities. Prepare to be welcomed by an excited group of children ready to share their Compassion experience with you!

Home Visits

Visit the home of a Compassion assisted child and their family to learn about daily life in a different culture. With the help of an interpreter, you’ll be able to exchange stories and hear how Compassion is supporting individual families in poverty.

A Day in the Life

On some trips, you may be able to accompany a family for the day! You’ll join children and their parents as they go to work, gather water, cook meals, and spend time together. This is a chance to see what day-to-day life is like in their community.

You will hear stories from Compassion graduates of impact, growth and hope over a meal. Gain insights into their transformative journeys from Compassion’s programs and see firsthand the impact of a global neighbourhood of support.

Church Worship

Compassion is Christ-centred and church-based. On your trip, you can join in worship and prayer at a local church in the area. See how our local church partners are inspiring their communities, supporting children and their families, and being the hands and feet of Jesus.

National Office Visit

Take a behind-the-scenes look at Compassion in action. Learn how thousands of supporter letters are carefully translated, meet our dedicated local staff (including the national director, if available), hear how children are loved and protected, and enjoy a traditional lunch together.

Sponsored Child Fun Day

Mon 27 May 2024 4:00PM - 7:00PM
Join the Jollibee mascot for a party like none other! Hang out at the iconic Jollibee restaurant with Compassion sponsored children and their families. Try classics like burgersteak and Chickenjoy, always with rice! Travellers connecting with specific sponsored children at this event have been contacted separately.
